Love these products, check them out for a great matte liquid lipstick.
I’ve been recently trying out this new product for my hair called Garnier Hair Treats. For those of you that know, I love having long hair, but my hair is so damaged with split ends by the time it’s getting to the length that I actually want it to be. This has really helped keep my hair happy and healthy. It also smells amazing.
I’ve been using these products, complimentary from Influenster, for the past month and am extremely excited to share them with you. The Origins GinZing line comes with a series of different products, the three of these being just a few of them.
Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturizer: Lightweight application, absorbs easily, smells amazing, spreads easily, and moisturizes wonderfully.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream: Extremely brightening and makes your face, most notably under the eyes, look like you had a full night’s sleep despite what you really had. Stay fresh all day with this.
Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser: Smells extremely good! Exfoliates the skin gently, rejuvenates and refreshes.
You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everybody sees light and rainbows when they look at you, but if you yourself don’t know it, all of that doesn’t even matter. Every second that you spend on doubting your worth, every moment that you use to criticize yourself; is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. It’s not like you have forever, so don’t waste any of your seconds, don’t throw even one of your moments away.
There are a few things in life so beautiful they hurt: swimming in the ocean while it rains, reading alone in empty libraries, the sea of stars that appear when you’re miles away from the neon lights of the city, bars after 2am, walking in the wilderness, all the phases of the moon, the things we do not know about the universe, and you.
Life becomes easier when you learn to accept an apology you never got.

You’re never going to be 100% ready and it’s never going to be just the right time, but that’s the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment. If you want it, you just have to do it.
I recently had a school presentation in my Women’s Health elective course and my topic was “Unhealthy Dieting in Women”. Researching and learning about this topic spoke millions to me and I just want to share something.
Every day, in this country, we are surrounded by TV shows, magazines, clothing line ads, Facebook posts, and various other forms of social media. Unfortunately, one thing we may or may not realize is that so many of these constantly expose us to the idea that the “perfect” woman is someone who has a flat stomach, thin arms, and legs. Whether or not you realize it, it likely affects you. The reality of it is that most of us care a lot about our appearance whether we’re trying to get skinnier, bigger, prettier, leaner, etc. We’re surrounded by all this stigma and peer pressure that we need to try harder and be prettier and it absolutely kills me. So many women are dissatisfied with the way they look and resort to unhealthy eating diets. And at the end of the day, you can’t say that this is their choice; it is ultimately a choice that resulted from all of the influence around them.
As a healthcare professional student and a woman, I just feel like I really need to speak out about this. As a community and a whole, we need to strive to improve our self-esteem. It absolutely breaks my heart when I see other people tearing each other down or body shaming people. We need to strive away from the desire of wanting to ‘appear’ beautiful and gear that towards the strive of wanting to be healthy. Studies show that girls 9 years old or even younger are already dissatisfied with their bodies. I mean, girls at the age of 4 or 5 are being told that they are “pretty” or “cute” rather than “intelligent” or “creative”, already giving them the idea that appearance is important. It’s such a touchy topic and realistically, it’s not something that’s easy to change when it’s been so ingrained in our culture for so, so long. But the reality of it is, it starts with us. We may not have the ability to change social media, but we have the ability to change ourselves and as the quote goes, “A change begins with one person.” Do your part in promoting positivity, health, and self-esteem. Every action makes a difference. And always, always remember that striving for healthiness goes so much further than striving for the ‘perfect body’.
